I grew up watching that show. It was a show that really wasn't too popular when it ran in 1985 but it slowly gained a pretty big cult following by the time it ended. In fact i don't know anybody in my own age group that didn't watch it.

I heard that the girl who played the robot is a big time christian now and the child actor who played the son pretty much followed typical child actor behavior and went from drugs to jail to working at a Taco Bell. Only hearsay though.
