My impression from a couple of months ago was that it was a slam-drunk conviction for being a jerk, but that the facts simply weren't enough for murder, in particular there weren't enough facts then to rule out an alternate murderer (it's not enough to show he probably did it).

Listen, I saw a news report when this all started. It was about a late term PREGNANT latin lady that was abducted from the other side of the tracks, same area of Cali, and they found her headless torso in the SAME bay as Lacy months later.

I saw this news report twice around the time Lacy went missing. Since then I've heard nothing about it. If I was on Scott's defense, I would have pounded this to death! She was found within months to one year(don't remember exactly) right before Lacy went missing.

Anybody else remember this?????
