I'm sorry, yes there are tragedies, etc etc but I can feel sorry for the guy that just got hit by a bus on his wedding day or I can feel sorry for the guy who killed himself over a 19 year old porn chica who wants to enshrine his memory forever by taking copious gallons of semen on her rosy cheeks for the next five years. AND THIS IS WHERE I THROW DOWN! James, you bastard, Schopenhauer started off to free mankind from Christianity but ended up accepting the bizarre metaphysics of the Upanishads. Nietzsche broke, unequivocally, with Christianity. I just don't know how you can make that statement. His early work certainly labored under Schopenhauer's influence but by the Twilight of the Idols he was his own man.
