Sexpo to honour diggers

ORGANISERS of Sexpo, the adult health, sexuality and lifestyle expo, say they intend to respect our diggers when the event opens in Melbourne on Remembrance Day.

The expo is due to open on November 11 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Southbank.

Sexpo founder and organiser David Ross said the opening would be delayed until after 11am as a mark of respect to present and ex-servicemen and women.

He has arranged for a minute's silence to be observed on the day, after a last post bugle tribute to fallen soldiers.

"Our event was scheduled to open on the eleventh of the eleventh, and I think it's entirely appropriate for us to pay our respects, just like everyone else," said Mr Ross.

"The freedoms we enjoy today ... are thanks to those people who fought to maintain our democracy and our way of life."
