i posted this on adt a while ago and didn't seem to get much response. strange.

while we're on the subject, check today's news for french military intervention/ivory coast.

france is more adept at hiding colonialism, most of the reason they keep screaming "we have voltaire" about anglophone actions in the rest of the world is because they need africa and the middle east to stay available for plunder or face massive economic collapse and likely political upheaval.

the cfa franc(1948) is used to exploit 11 supposedly independant countries as it agrees to deposit 65% of their foreign exchange reserves in a special french account and with the capital control of 93 it doesn't take a genius to figure out how this works out in relations to inflation, speculation, capital flight, etc. they're willing to commit genocide for this and do. also, paris refuses to discuss the protectionary measures the imf and the rest of the world agree are needed to save african agriculture.

france is always in the top 4 arms exporters and usually #1 or 2 to developing nations france sold saddam hussein 2 nuclear power plants and billions of dollars of advanced weapons, long after we knew he was a twisted fuck. . they supported actions in afghanistan, but when it came to iraq it was vital to their economic interests to avoid conflict and they did. alcatel, totalfinaelf and renault were heavily invested in and dependant upon iraqi stability and were making several billion dollars a year starving people with contracts won in the oil-for food abortion and keeping hussein propped up was vital. totalfinaelf spent a decade developing oil fields that account for 25% of iraqi reserves.

basically, france without criminal military intervention and protection of economic colonialism would be an imploded, irrelevant nation. they're terrified of engish-speaking influence in africa and their moral stands are curiously timed, seeing as they have no problem sending troops like they did today.
