As far as I know, self-promotion from xxxporntalk posters is just fine. In fact it's a good thing if it's about people in the porn industry, what they're doing, etc.

The problem would be someone who posts only their promotional stuff and never otherwise posts, answers questions, etc. Even this isn't always bad; I've heard no complaints about xxx-imports' monthly new release postings for example.

I'd like to see more "self-promotion" from Gen, Kami & Melissa anyway - Nicole and Genesis are doing just fine. Who you're shooting for, who with, etc, are all interesting things.
