i like the animated monkey. it will take a awhile to get used to the narrower board though.

I like the narrower version better. I can't stand reading a line of text from one end of the screen to the other. What will happen when someone posts one of those 2000 character links that won't wrap?

The links that won't wrap really blow I agree, there is a new version of the software we will eventually migrate too which probably fixes those type of things. But you know how that is, it will fix that but have other shit we'll hate.

bornyo, just disable images when you need a fix on ie. mozilla/firefox let your have a little more control over things, the adblock extension is especially good since it sounds like pictures ruin your life as much as mine.

From a design aspect, it just feels like there's too many different things thrown together.

The new logo, while it looks nice, does not really match the design of the rest of the site.

Also, the narrow columns does make it harder to read, but if the site needs to make money by adding ad space, then more power to you.

I like the new logo too and the layout is cool but i don't like seeing the animated ads on the right. They were better at the bottom where you could see them only when you wanted to....IMHO

i think the "snappiest" thing you can do is disable frames in images while loading, it at least tricks your eyes. here's the stuff you can put in your user.js for optimal snap. it's from a sticky on mozillazine, so it's not witchcraft/nonsense.

lol, i'm honored to be quoted, btw.
basically, on xp go to docs and settings>toe/tanta's documents>app.data>firefox>profiles and create a text document and name it user.js. while you're at it you can remove the word "-example" from the userChrome-example.css and userContent-example.css titles of the files. start up firefox, type "about:config" and you should get a huge of list that you can right click to modify. you should give "about:config" a shot before creating the files if you want to be on the safe side, but i'm not sure it'll work without creating and renaming those things. i'll try to find some links
