I have been given writing duties for a brand new and still untitled sitcom, usually i don't mind it because its your own mold you can make a hit from scratch which is always exciting, but then i found out what the show is geared around and who they have signed on to star and you just know from the start no matter how good the scripts you write are the show is going to bomb, its just dead in the water. So i pose this question to the board should i just mail it on and not put in the effort because you know the show is going to fail or should i put in the effort and try and write the best shit possible?. I will poll it

I know this is bullshit but I'll play along as follows:

1. If you're not writing for Reno 911 you should be.
2. If you are writing for Reno 911, and get an offer that you feel will fail, then you should just mail it in- you don't need your name associated with bullshit.
3. If you're not writing for Reno 911 but want to, then give it your best effort and cc: the PRODUCERS of Reno 911. (Not the writers- they'll steal your ideas out of jealousy)

Add "undecided" to your poll then I'll vote. As in this upcoming presidential election, I need the comfort of a third party to confidently cast my ballot.
