Kristyn Hoffpauir is hoping to meet someone who values sincerity, faith, and the possibility of a shared future. Kristyn and another man were convicted of murdering Kristyn's estranged ex-husband who was 81 years old. His cause of death was stated as blunt force injury of head and neck, asphyxia due to ligature strangulation and stab wound of neck. Kristyn lived in the house as the body rotted until his granddaughter forces her way into the house and found the body. She was sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor without the benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.

She pled not guilty by reason of insanity. She was later found to be competent to stand trial.
