Katherine Magbanua is originally from the Philippines but grew up in the beautiful city of MIAMI! Magbanua was found guilty of first-degree murder, conspiracy, and solicitation to commit murder in the 2014 death of Dan Markel. Markel was shot in his car while parked in the garage of his home.

Magbanua was the go-between for her former boyfriend, Charlie Adelson, and convicted gunmen Sigfredo Garcia and his childhood friend, Luis Rivera. Magbanua and Garcia have two kids together.

Adelson is the brother of Markel's ex-wife, and he wanted Markel dead. Magbanua set up the murder for him.
