Amber and her Mom left Amber's one month old infant, and four other very young children, under the care of her 10-yearld old for the day. The infant nearly died that day -- saved by a concerned neighbor and paramedics, and Amber later pled guilty to first-degree child injury by omission. She was then sentenced to only community supervision for ten years.

While on supervision, Amber repeatedly tested positive for meth thus violating the conditions of her custody. For that, she was resentenced to life in prison.
