Doesn't Canada, despite its current socialist/nanny state existence, have the ethos of the American Old West in its DNA? A country built on mineral/timber rights and the displacement of the indigenous people to control those same resources should seem to be tolerant of the world's oldest profession as a pressure release valve for the cowboys servicing the natural wealth of the country.
Even in Canada's current woke state, the belief is that the exploited Sex Worker is in need of state's protection based on the ongoing trafficking and abuse of said same by the pimps, madams, Coyotes, and Snakeheads importing foreigners and subjugating domestics into the sex trade. Allow the independent Sex Worker security and success, would be the progressive response from the progressive Canadians.
Why can't the Luvinlioness be left alone to ply the trade of providing delightful companionship to classy gentlemen? One would think that it would be tolerated or even encouraged in today's environment.
Her critical error (in a lifetime of making critical errors) was asking for a lifeline from an evangelical church.
As Milton Friedman lectured many times: there is no free lunch and in her case, no free housing. They expect conformation to their ways and values and to be up an upstanding member of their flock in actions and deeds. Now that her life has stabilized concerning her living conditions she appears to be chafing at the expectations and restraints of her new "friends".
This reminds me of the scene in The Hurt Locker when the Jeremy Renner character is back to his regular life with the ex-wife and child. He is in the grocery store becoming very distressed by the safe normalcy of the environment, jonesing for the action of disarming IEDs in Iraq. The Luvinlioness is jonesing for the action of classy gentleman and ex-con negro penises.
