Well, you have to recall that some of the old "regulars" were the ones who ran off most of the porn people. But I suppose we can ask around.
If the place is going to be worth anything, it's gonna have to move a little in a direction tolerant of the fanbois. Notice I said "a little." Some of them still show up, I noticed a few after Brandon Irons was found dead.
You may notice "Tranzer's Soviet Apartment" in the forum list. Right now, until an admin gets into the database and updates the banned host list (which is basically all of Poland and Russia), all the spammers go in there after they sign up. The down side: legit new users go in there as well, leaving us to figure out which is which. At least it keeps them from shitting on the rest of the board.
Wille D: throwing the "old school" under the bus. I remember (and can read) it differently. The "old school" engaged these porners at arms length and didn't really waylay them until they ventured into the cage. Alas there will never be another jamesn (may he rest in peace, and with all due respect), and Smiling Arab figured it out and will never be back.
No idea how many members even still log-on but I think the forum format is about dead. Performers can do their own insta and twitter and self censor which they could not do here. They HAD to come here to be noticed and now they can go direct to consumer. What they don't realize yet is that consumers aren't buying pornstars anymore but "jondras" and websites, if they buy anything at all.
This place would never have happened at all if Myspace had their act together from the start. They came about at the same time, but Myspace allowed people to post crap potential viewers did not have the technology or internet broadband to access.
It's discouraging because this place was truly a home to some great discussion, but alas it appears to be stick a fork in it done unless a lot of people pile back in, along with some PWs.
