Pandering to the party loons isn't going to win back the Rust Belt for the Dems. When they all raised their hands to give illegals free health care, they pretty much conceded the election.

Think about it. All the Dem candidates want open boarders, free health care for immigrants AND to pay off college debt. Rust Belt folks who saw their Union jobs shipped to Mexico or China and are making 2/3 of what they used to gonna vote to bring in cheaper work place competition and to get taxed to the gills for their competition's health care plus people who blew $150k on journalism degrees so they could tell the laid off blue collar workers to Learn To Code? I don't see it.

And I am not a big Trump supporter. I would have voted for anyone except Al Sharpton over Hillary. Dems got nuthin though. Buttgieg may be the best of the bunch. I personally don't care that he's gay, but it would completely neuter his dealings with the entire continents of Asia and South America.

Dems best bet is to write 2020 off then build a couple moderate candidates or hope for a horribly bad recession, to drive the public closer towards accepting socialism.
