Hey gang,

I've been active on social media for some time concerning free speech (hello, net neutrality ugh) and sex worker rights. I predicted their intersection long ago, and here we are with Congress passing #sesta and #fosta March 21, 2018 with tons of changes in terms of service, censorship, and shutdown on tech platforms.

Originally, sesta/fosta was framed as anti-sex trafficking, but that was a guise to abolish consensual sex workers from safely advertising and sharing client blacklists. Later, I'll get more into how allowing consensual sex workers (yes, most sex work is consensual) to advertise more freely actually fights and decreases sex trafficking.

Now, as I predicted, it has affected everyday citizens. Google Drive has wiped out entire porn files and locked out users, Dropbox has wiped out erotic photography Ive shot of models (thank god I have a hard drive,) and Wordpress and Squarespace is shutting down anything mentioning money and companionship. Everyone not in agreement is acting with those in agreement as an act of caution. It's not just Craigslist Personals shutting down to prevent escorts from posting in their dating section. MyFreeCams changed their TOS, Microsoft and Skype changed its TOS to result in suspension and ban for use of nudity and whatever they deem as offensive language. Other companies will follow even if they don't agree with it because they are scared.

What should we, XPT, do in this political climate of new extreme censorship? What should we limit in our discussions? What encryptions should we tighten so we don't have to limit ourselves? I'm open to suggestions.

Secondly, I'd like to remove myself from admin though I still believe this board has a right to a voice because I believe in free speech and a right to a porn board is part of my ethos as a sex worker ally.
