I haven't been to Seattle in ten years. My friends there moved to la and SF around that time. Never had a Cronut- sounds boring.

Finally made some damn bacon right. It never seemed to crisp up nice and evenly for me before, but today I heated up the biggest damn pan I could find and cooked it nice and slow until it was perfect. Then I fried some eggs (for a bit too long) in the bacon grease. This was the best breffist I've had in a while.

Back to the cronut, I don't know how anyone could say this looks boring:

I have a gal pal that would never eat that banana. She thinks they're disgusting like that. I try to convince her that's just ripe and sweet. She eats them green. She's fucking weird as hell.

It was perfectly fine. It looked questionable, but once I peeled it, it wasn't at all overripe. I knew it was right at the borderline though, so I peeled the rest of the bunch and threw them in the freezer in a ziplock bag. They'll work great the next time I feel like making a smoothie.

Great for banana bread as well.

Eggs & Lox, together at last. With some green onions and lots of dill. And no fucking capers! I can't understand how people eat those things.

Got one of those silicone egg rings Jerky suggested and have perfected my technique. Introducing, the sausage, egg & cheese Steezy McMuffin.

Mr. Steezo, as I've said before I completely don't understand this desire to replicate fast food in one's own home, but I applaud your effort and success.

I get to pick and choose all of the ingredients, all of which are upgraded over a typical Sausage & Egg McMuffin. For example, I used two eggs, a bigger sausage patty and real colby cheese. And I get to prepare it myself so I know I won't get sick from the food. Also, I don't have to leave my house, drive anywhere, wait in line or interact with other humans.

Keep eating that and you'll be replicating my heart cath soon.

An ex of mine and I got into a HUGE fight around 2002 because she asked me to pick her up a Sausage McMuffin with Egg and I fucked up and brought home a Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit. It got physical. Clearly other issues were in the subtext.

Never heard of it, but I'll check it out. Thanks, Gia. I'm more of a savory breakfast food person than a sweet food person. A typical breakfast for me is chicken or turkey sausage, a couple of eggs and some mixed blueberries & strawberries.

I don't go on Instagram much. Honestly, the majority of the recipes I try online come from one website: foodwishes.com. I don't ever follow the recipes exactly, but the videos are great and they give you an idea of the proper technique. I made cioppino last week using shrimp, crab, lobster, halibut, fresh salmon and some mussels & clams. The basis for the recipe was from that website and it turned out amazing.

Cooks Illustrated/America's Test Kitchen sent me an email last week with a recipe for a Spanish Tortilla using eggs, potatoes, peas, diced peppers and onions. It turned out pretty good for a first try, although I'll admit I cheated and put the pan in a hot oven to help the top of it firm up before I tried to flip it (it's cooked in the pan on both sides, which you probably already knew). I love breakfastses. My most favorite is poached aiggs with buttery rye toast and homefries. It's delightful. Milk.

Food52.com will change your life. I first discovered them on IG; the food porn blew me away. The recipes are easy and the ingredients accessible. I HATE going on a hunt for expensive esoteric ingredients! Right now I'm into the Fresh Fig and Mint salad. Can be made with or without carpaccio. Also into their Miso Black Cod.
