I'd consider donating if it wasn't paypal, since I don't have an account and don't particuarly trust the company-is there any way people could circumvent having to create an account and give them access to their amex accounts and the like? I may break down, but there may be others in the same boat who would be fine with checks or wiring you something if it's easier on your end.

the hospital i'm sure she's talking about is MGH, which isn't cheap because it's public, but it's all harvard med and probably the first choice for rich people who are really sick. the only reason it's ranked with mayo and baltimore is because they have to treat people who can't pay and as a result the state won't pay for long emergency room stays or above basic treatment.

i can't find what kind of cancer she has, but if it's one of the two they make it sound like it's really sad.
