It is somewhat inconsistent of President Trump to propound federalism and states' rights in so many areas except marijuana policy. His answer to education law, Obamacare and transgender bathrooms is that it's inappropriate for the Federal government to poke its nose into so many areas of daily life, and that we're better off when state governments, who are closer to their citizens, decide policies. Trump is right about this. I am disappointed by this stance on recreational marijuana, especially since the Federal government is completely broke and ought to be paring back simply to save money.
