People here don't fear for their livelihoods the way Americans do, and as a result, we're a less violent society on the whole. I have no idea what that means in terms of fixing the gun violence problem in the US, but it seems to me that it's a symptom of a much larger problem than just guns.--

Honestly, I don't think the causality rate in Vegas changes without a bumpstock. It throws accuracy out the window (no pun intended) and I think someone with a decent amount of skill can have inflicted the same amount of carnage without it.

Chicago and detroit are very dangerous places because they are poor neighborhoods and have been declining for the last 50 years are over run with black market drugs. I think one of the biggest ways to end rampant violence in poor neighborhoods would be to end drug prohibition so if you are a libertarian I guess that is one thing we could agree on. Although in certain instances drugs can become so rampant they can rot a society from the inside out like opium did to china but in general illegality makes things much much worse
