Not with me and a dead horse. In the 80's, when our driveway was dirt not gravel, it was winter with snow on the ground when we needed the septic pumped. Tanker truck sunk and stuck in the driveway. Then 2 tractors got stuck trying to pull the tanker out. They had to bring a bulldozer in to get the 3 vehicles out. The land I live on is great for growing stuff, but lousy for driving on.

I've gone back and forth about having the horse put down. Our last horse, my dad paid a grand to have him killed and allegedly incinerated. What will happen with this guy is that I'll have a vet come out and stick him with a needle, should be $150-200. Then i have to get a guy with a flatbed to bring him to the county dump, $350-500.

I would bury him here, but I don't know if the vet would be cool with it. I also don't know what disposal rules are. I have a buddy with a backhoe big enough to do the job in a reasonable amount of time. Only hard part would be figuring out a spot where we won't be digging up a dog.

I could sell him to a killer, but that is fucking inhumane. Poor bastard was good at what he did for 15 years, even if he was a pain in the ass, so he at least deserves to die with some dignity.

I liked Phish but couldn't get into the Dead till I listened to the "American Beauty" album and one of their "Best of" compilations and then something just clicked for me. I was listening to Phish in my early 20s but the Dead didn;t click till my late 30s.
