Also, if anyone watches Ray Donovan or is interested in Showtimes' new drama Roadies, the premieres are both available via Showtime's website & apps. Guess they didn't want the season finale's of HBO's shows to kill the viewership.

Roadies has a nice lil nakey celestial in the first few minutes. Episode was eh. 5/10 I guess. I'll watch more, but I'm not hooked in.

A Stuart Gordon movie called 'Edmond' starring William Macy based on a Mamet play, who also wrote the script. Play is from the 80s but it doesn't really matter because Mamet's stuff tends to be immune from anachronisms. It's about white male privelige or something. Macy stabs Julia Stiles to death (who looks great and plays stupid for once) then finds true love in prison with a big black guy who seduces him and breaks the ice by sorceably sodomizing him. Lots of cinephiles in here so it doesn't need mentioning who Gordon is, but I will say I jerked off many times to 'From Beyond' in my youth. Rated R for violence and "nagger".

Stranger Things - Netflix

Pretty good shlocky sci-fi/horror series with elements of Poltergeist, Interstellar, and Goonies thrown together. Remember the 60s Twilight Zone where the little girl falls off her bed into a temporary gateway to another dimension? It's kind of like that.
Winona Ryder is the lead as the JoBeth Williams mom character. Winona's scenes seem badly acted at first and over the top, but as the plot thickens, her actions/reactions match the intensity better.
Not a must see, but a good ride.

Yeah it's good so far. Ryder does start off very OTT but that seems on purpose.

I watched 'Barry Lyndon' again, which is a Stanley Kubrick movie. Very good movie. It reminds me of 'Apocalypse Now' because Ryan O'Neal as a main character drifts through it like Martin Sheen does in that movie kind of mute while all kinds of people around him ham it up in supporting roles. And it is really pretty too.

Last movie I saw was Bad Moms. It was great. I would love to 69 with Mila Kunis.

Every Tuesday evening it only cost five bucks per ticket at the Hollywood in Arbutus. I saw Suicide Squad and really enjoyed the flick. Harley Quinn was HAWT!

Has anybody seen the Netflix series "Stranger Things" ? I hear its really good.

It's ok. It's Goonies meets Poltergeist. Not great, but worth a view. Wynona Rider seems so terrible in the first few episodes but by the end her performance balances out. They actually made the kid actors watch Goonies, ET, Poltergeist, and more 80's suburbia flicks to get the tone they wanted. I mentioned it in this thread, just above all the Mila Kunis pics.

Watched a couple episodes of Daredevil 2nd season last night. The Punisher is BAD ASS. Onofrio is awesome as well as the criminal kingpin now in prison.

Stranger Things is good but not the second coming of anything. Daredevil S2 is good stuff, the upcoming Cage show for Netflix also looks good.

Errol Morris's excellent movie 'Tabloid' which I skipped first time around because I'd read it was a work for hire/Morris lite effort. Wrong. It's one of his best. The lady at its center is captivating much like Timothy Treadwell was for Herzog. See this. Some of you may find validation for your dictum "Whores Lie". Or not.

The Strain [quickly becoming a different version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer], Fear the Walking Dead [ terrible fucking writing. The writers are senseless], The Exorcist [new very creepy Fox series] and Van Helsing [Sci Fi, undecided so far]. Gotham [still satisfying], some of the streaming b movie/horror channels on Roku, Exploitation tv has porn and explo movies from the 70s. This summer was the dregs for tv viewing on the networks and on most of the movie channels. A lot of series ended and were replaced with shit.

I just watched a dvd wherein Julie Night got throatfucked good. I love her. The rough and tumble tomboy types really make me nut hard. Like this bitch or Ashley Blue or even Trinity Post. Post isn't the greatest looking girl but the way she embraces her sexual degradation in front of cameras sets my off in an onanistic frenzy after which I stomp around my home screaming inarticulately like Jack Nicholson at the end of 'The Shining'. Ryder Cup foursome matches. Yesterday in a practice round some guy in the gallery heckled McElroy for missing about a 12 foot putt. McElroy and Justin Rose brought the guy out of the gallery. They putt a ball down where McElroy had missed his putt and gave the guy a putter. Rose then threw a hundred dollar bill down next to the ball. Guy drained the putt and they both signed the bill.
