I don't know that gay porn guys are safer. Yes they use condoms, but a lot of them are (presumed to be) HIV+. I think gay porn doesn't require testing since "everybody knows" condoms are perfect protection and because the guys entering gay porn are already HIV+ anyway (which apparently really was true ten years ago).

If you take the CDC estimate of condoms not protecting against HIV 5% of the time, a gay performer may be at greater risk since those 5% of contacts may well be with an HIV+ partner. A female performer might well be safer since their partners is tested HIV- and the fact is that having an HIV- partner is what counts.

There's no question that condoms with unknown partners are far worse than not having HIV+ partners. The big question is if AIM testing is good enough to ensure that the partners really are HIV-. The history over the last 10-15 years suggests that condoms in gay porn don't work as well as AIM testing to exclude HIV+ partners.
