Been trying to make my own eggsy McMuffins using the ring part of a Mason jar lid in a nonstick skillet. I guess you're sposed to poke the yolks once with a fork after you pour them into the ring so they'll cook flat. I haven't quite worked it out yet as the eggs keep sticking to the ring and won't come free cleanly.
I got 2 silicone egg rings a while back. They work ok and don't burn you getting the egg out.
