He's from Brooklyn. No idea, but he's a lifelong hockey fan. I don't know enough about hockey to know they're not from Brookkyn. I'm just finding that out now from you. Anyway, I'm glad the ticket company refunds if your team doesn't make it into the scheduled play date.
They just moved to Brooklyn from Long Island in the last year or 2. Nassau Colosseum was one of the worse arenas in sports, outdated & dilapidated.
Nassau County is so heavily taxed and corrupt, that multiple proposals for new stadiums were torpedoed over the past 10-15 yrs. Islanders owner would negotiate a deal w/ one county administration, and when they got voted out, the new administration would tank the deal, cause they and their cronies weren't in on the payoffs.
Brooklyn arena is said to be horrible for hockey, but only other option was to sell the team to a group that would move it to Kansas City.
Look on ebay for some certified autographed Islanders merch to get him.
