Such a great and funny book. Huston's film is good but doesn't quite nail it.

As his decaying brain became pickled in alcohol Hitchen's wrote another terrible essay claiming that women weren't funny (except lesbians?), ignoring O'Connor and Dorothy Parker, both of whom could out-snark him any day of the week with more acid wit than almost anyone else writing in English.
