I can't imagine the Canadian government would give her legal status, even if she was born there. She's been in the US long enough, I'd guess she either (a) obtained US citizenship or (b) is considered an illegal immigrant in the US (unlikely since she would have been deported with the arrest in Reno).

DH: I'd like to apply for residency in Canada

DH: Dana Hayes, but for $20, you can call me the luvlioness
Clerk: No thanks. Residence?
DH: My car.
Clerk: Occupation?
DH: Hooker and unemployed porn actress.
