I thought 8thstreetlatinas was seperate from bang bus... am I wrong?

I must be missing something, cause it all looked like the consequences of personal choices and evasion of personal responsibilty to me.

I'm not so sure everyone recognises that. The Miami New Times seemed to be intent on portraying her as an innocent victim, exploited at the hands of her sleazebag boyfriend and the evil pornographers.

Actually I do believe in free healthcare, I just don't see killing babies as healthcare. If she were keeping the baby I'd be all for her getting free help, regardless of who is responsible for the situation.
I agree with you on both points. I didn't particularly feel sympathy for her even though she was portrayed as the victim. Though on some level I think she was a victim of her own stupidity and social environment. It's a complicated matter that is horribly oversimplified by ignorant articles like that.

I want this article to put a saddle on my back and hit me with a riding crop. Never have I read an author trying so desperately to create a sympathetic character when there was none.
