Seems like celebrity porn videos never resulted in huge lawsuits until just recently with Hogan and Erin Andrews. I guess most videos in the past were simply done with the celebrities secret consent for publicity.
All of them since 2006 have had to have the 2257 info on file to be distributed. I think Pam & Tommy was the only one to hit the streets w/o consent.
Another difference w/ the Hogan & Andrews videos is they were filmed w/o consent. Gawker is lucky NY doesn't have a revenge porn statute, or someone would be looking at a year in jail.
