I watched "Creed" today. Kind of predictable but as a dude from Philly who has seen all the Rocky movies many times it was awesome to me. Obviously not for everyone but I can always relate to the places because I have been there. I recommend to any sports fan.

Watched two from film noir last night. Kansas City Confidential IMDB and The Big Combo IMDB Both very good movies. The latter starring Conel Wilde and his wife Jean Wallace quite a looker. Read her bio on IMDB. She led quite a soap opera and "film noir" life herself.
Later watched some Laurel and Hardy silent shorts and one talkie. Laughed out loud for real. Their delivery of lines when the talkies came about was outstandingly funny. Many actors were concerned about having to go to talking but it sure wasn't a problem for them.

After retiring to the bedroom I popped the Netflix disk Pieces in . Terrible slasher/hacker b movie with Chris George. Lots of nice tits and ass in this one though. IMDB

Last films I watched were Bone Tomahawk and Cheap Thrills, one a horror-western with Kurt Russell (really good) the other a thriller-horror film, pretty good too.

I was thinking that film noir mention would bring you from the shadows. Bone Tomahawk was excellent. Highly recommended. Russell looks just like he did in The H8tful Eight.

Watched an old horror flick on Internet Archive...The Head...second part of a drive in double feature. Bad picture quality and even worse movie.

Watched a Lubitsch comedy, That Uncertain Feeling with a young Burgess Meredith, sexy as hell Merle Oberon and the always great Melvyn Douglas. Douglas should be as well remembered as a comedic actor as Cary Grant.

It seemed a little redundant to me; didn't give me a lot more perspective than Louis Theroux's work did.

I haven't watched it. Anti-porn docs are usually just annoying. I prefer my trash without the self-righteous indignation.

Agreed, moralizing should never be the domain of documentary. If you saw Theroux's first doc and his exceptional *followup*, he's always a bit cold, but he engages people with authenticity and fairness or not at all. Although you might actually know Rob Black, Kagney Lynn Carter, etc. and I do not, I can completely relate as an outsider to Tommy Gunn because the conversations are so sincere.

What I liked about 'Hot Girls Wanted' was that the actresses speak for themselves, and it follows three (Ava Taylor, for example). After Porn Ends (2012) was also sort of interesting.

Good movie ^

I watched the Curse of the Faceless Man. A sort retelling of The Mummy except set in the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius. A man with a grudge is encrusted in lava and awakens years later to take his vengeance on a scientists wife who resembles his long lost love crush. Pretty creepy movie actually.

I sort of dread The Walking Dead tonight. Obviously gonna be major carnage and a main character or two killed off. It's becoming kind of cliche in that's all the fucking show is about. Who's gonna bite the bullet next. Writers need a new direction.
