Two weeks doesn't always necessarily cut it. It usually takes between three weeks and two months for your immune system to produce antibodies to HIV. Ehh, stupid disease ruins everyone's fun.
Two weeks isn't enough for antibody tests, but what about direct PCR detection?
During the outbreak six months ago I looked on the CDC web site but there really wasn't much info for a scenario like this - they're only concerned with the cost of diagnostic testing so they recommend antibody tests at 90 days (and I guess abstinence in the meantime - hey as long as it's cheap).
