Hi, I have a question about an average porn career and it's longevity. I have a friend who started doing porn about three months ago. She's one of those pro amateur girls and she started with an agency down in Florida, since then she has quit that agency, joined another, quit that one and is now independent operating mainly in Law Vegas and LA. She has shot what I think is a decent amount of scenes, she's got 3 scenes with Reality Kings, 1 with GF Revenge, 1 with POVD, 1 with PornPros, 1 with Brazzers and 1 with Naughty America. The problem now is that she hasn't been getting as many calls for shoots as she used to get. Can anybody that is more familiar with the industry let me know if this is pretty typical? I've heard that the average girl lasts about 3 to 6 months before she is shot out of the industry so to speak. My friend is really pretty, by far the sexiest girl I know but in porn terms she's nothing really special. Is her recent slump due to the fact that she's independent, or is this typical for porn and should she start looking to diversify and maybe get into cam modeling and other types of porn work. Or do you guys think this is temporary and will pick up again after the holidays? Any help and answers would be greatly appreciated, she's mainly worried now because she's read the same article that said new girls only last 3 to 6 months and being at 3 months in she's starting to get nervous that it's only gonna be downhill from here.
