Bryant's sauce is very different from other K.C. sauces. A lot of cumin is mixed in which results in a strange color and a rather sandpapery texture. It is really good if you are in the mood for it and know in advance what you are getting. It is not an everyday sauce nor a pleasant surprise to be dumped in your taste buds lap. Gates is really good as is Joe's Kansas City (which is also marketed under the Cowtown name). Kansas City Baron is another really good one that doesn't get a lot of publicity. There is an up and coming place called Q39 that will be very popular if they ever put their sauce out for retail sale. If you are doing the mail order thing order as much baked beans from Jack Stack that you can fit in your freezer. They are the greatest baked beans on planet Earth.
