Did you know that from 1935 until 1980, the bottom 90% of wage earners gained 70% of all new income, but from 1980 until 2012 that same 90% received 0%? That's right, Senator Warren said. While for 45 years the top 10% got 30% of new income, in the next 32 years they got it all. 100%.
I wonder why these fuckers can't put two and two together. 1980 demarcs the irrevocable metastasis of the administrative state, the Department of Whatsisfuck and the profusion therefrom of endless regulations and myriad enforcement agencies and tribunals. The number of lawyers in the United States increased by 15% from 1979 to 1980 alone.

And you're a fucking lawyer!! The for profit prison explosion also happened around the dates you're quoting as well. You really think a profit motive system can regulate its self? You're promoting this simplistic "word of mouth" system the libertarians claim will just take care of its self? Where the only problem is some one else has to suffer first. You are all of the sudden in favor of "tort reform" you, a lawyer. Often times lawsuits are the only way some one can strike back at a huge entity that's fucked them over

Webb's a disappointment. I thought he would energize the right wing of the democratic party and force Clinton to skew a bit left and eat up some Bernie territory. I am beginning to feel the bern, but I think he might win a seat in the Bundestag as a moderate in the SPD before he makes it to the White House.

Not quite. It documents events that occurred 25 years ago; the conditions remain the same, as does his character.
I think it would be far more appropriate if he wore a leopard on his head instead of that chihuahu he's been sporting the last couple of lifetimes, because he's one guy who will never, ever change his spots.
“The American people are horrified by these never-ending mass shootings. Our hearts go out to the families and friends of the innocent victims. As a nation, we must do everything we can to put an end to this awful epidemic of senseless slaughter. “We need a comprehensive approach. We need sensible gun-control legislation which prevents guns from being used by people who should not have them. We must greatly expand and improve our mental health capabilities so individuals and families can get the psychological help they need when they need it. We also have to tone down the incredibly high level of gratuitous violence which permeates our media. “The shouting at each other must end. The hard work of developing good policy must begin.”

The Republicans are a fucking joke as well. What a mess. And for clarification, it wouldn't really bother me if all gun sales [person to person] required a background check. It would make me feel a lot safer selling a gun to someone I don't know personally. I don't do that at all. Family and friends yes but not strangers.

Holy shit. Only time I've heard you say something reasonable. Is the sky falling?

I've always felt that way. Maybe just haven't effectively expressed it here. The only worry is when has the government ever gotten an inch without taking a mile? Patriot act as an example.

Come the fuck on, BDM: If you've "always" thought that way then why have you never said shit about it until Admiral ALEC gets you riled up about stuff that's never happened?
If Hillary could simply debate these fools who are afraid to challenge her, she'd win, but I suspect a harder edge may be coming her way. It's still disheartening to see that the media are all in the tank for Hillary, though. Bernie Sanders definitely is the more sincere candidate.
