When I was younger I work in a store. I notice that snack companies typically shrink the size before raising the price.
Just went to the pharmacy and noticed that Doritos has shrink-rayed their chips from 11oz to 10.5oz per bag. Same thing with Lays chips.
In the past 20 years the cheapest Doritos were $0.25, then went to $1.00, then $1.09 and now they are $1.49.
