John McLaughlin was certainly a Nixon hack, but if I recall correctly was not involved in the Watergate scandal. How many folks here in THE JERKOFF ZONE remember that John McLaughlin endorsed John Kerry over Dubya. I live close to Washington, and can personally attest the guys who go off the reservation this was are financially punished and lose status within the Republican party for this type of apostasy. I find that Mr. McLaughlin acted honorably and to his financial and political detriment, and frankly I applaud his courage.

A great television show, period. Regardless of your political bent or sophistication or lack thereof it ultimately amounted to character comedy and you tuned in each week to see wgat they'd say and how they'd interact, and McLaughlin hilariously put almost sadistic constraints on their answers that often cause them to stutter stammer race to get it out. It was great theater. Very very funny. Metaphysically certitude entertainment. If I remember correctly Dana Carvey did a pretty goddamn funny parody on SNL during the Phil Hartman era.

I lived in DC in the mid to late 80s and enjoyed his show as well MPT's Wall Street Week in Review with Louis Rukeyser. Louis could put you to sleep though.

^ Too busy to read that link now, but from my understanding the FBI used one informant to feed misinformation to that Papadopolous idiot, then they set up him to blab that info to another informant and then they used that for the basis for a warrant to spy on Trump. Basically the FBI spied on Trump because they wanted to do so for political reasons, not because of Russia.

No. When the NY Times & Washington Post are writing stories about the people who spied on Trump's campaign, it's obviously disinformation. They want to get out in front of this story before the imminent, damning report from the Inspector General. It's looking more and more like the only people going to jail are going to be the investigators, leakers and spies. What a sad day it is for America when one party uses wiretapping and spies to try to gain an advantage over their political opponent.
