Rick Santorum is an interesting fellow. He's pretty firmly established himself as a bluenose Christian conservative, but he's also a Constitutionalist. And pretty willing to engage in discussions with hostile audiences (which, for Santorum, tends to be nearly everybody, thanks to Dan Savage) about his principles. Rick Santorum is way more conservative than I am, but note that Rick Santorum is already on record that the President's personal preferences are not law. Laws are made by Congress. He would try to persuade them, as he has tried to persuade the electorate, but Santorum wouldn't rule by decree like Emperor Barry I.
