I was reading Hunter Thompson's wiki the other day and noticed the date the first part of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was published in Rolling Stone, so I checked eBay for it. Guy selling it had it listed w/ Rolling Stone and Ralph Steadman on the title line, so people just searching for HST didn't get it on their search results. I put in the minimum bid, and stared at the screen for the last 20 minutes, to make sure no one scummed me.

Only other one I saw for sale was on Amazon, also in mediocre condition, for $225. Since it is basically a 40year old newspaper, I wouldn't expect to find one in great condition.

Gotta get my audio from my laptop to my old Sirius boom box. I got ones that are right angles, to lessen the likelihood of something hitting the plugs and messing up them or the jacks. I'm hoping my current cable is messed up and not the jacks in my laptop or boom box.

I really don't want to have to buy a new radio for here in the shop, since they get dirty/shitty quickly. This boom box has lasted 9yrs, so I'm happy with it. Well, 8yrs. The first one I had blew the speakers after a lightning strike. That sucked. It was like someone fired a shotgun in my small shop, and also blew out the speed control switch on one of my machines.

I've been finding some great deals on oop lps and rare records. Knoxville has 5 or 6 places that sell them along with comics and such. I found a rare Delvetts 10 inch with their very limited library of songs on it. Great stuff. Also, A group called Smith, Gayle McCormick solo, Hydra [southern rock], Fat Mattress [Noel Redding] and have been getting a lot of my old collection back and then some. Found an anitque shop loaded with 3 dollar lps from the 60s and 70s and yesterday one that will take my old adult dvds for store credit.
