I've been lurking Badger and Blade forums for awhile. I wanted to try traditional wet shaving but couldn't get my head around paying 50 bucks for the razor. I get it now. Finding the one I did was just good luck. My uncle lent me an old brush that was with the razor. He gave me the razor but has some sentimental attachment to the brush so he wants it back. I'm shopping for a brush, probably a Semogue 830 boar bristle, and some decent shaving soap/cream(I have a sample shaving soap from Stirling and its excellent stuff, fuck canned foam). I can do a mix and match of mid to high quality blades for around 30 bucks that will last me a year or more at the rate I shave. I pay 22 bucks for 50 disposables that are only good for 1 or rarely 2 shaves. I used to be able to stretch them out to 3 or 4 shaves if I swished them in alcohol but the quality of the blades have gone down recently. Any razor with more than 2 blades irritates my face badly so mach3 and fusion cartridges are out.
