I started shaving with a double edged safety razor. I found a brand new Gillette Super Adjustable while cleaning out my aunt and uncles basement. The razor was made in 1986. I got some personna blades at a Beauty Supply store. Holy shit.I got the best shave of my life with this razor. No razor bumps on my neck. I did get some razor burn but less than when I use a cartridge or disposable razor. I looked and this style razor blades can be ordered by the hundred for 9 bucks to 40 bucks depending on the brand/quality of razor. I get 3 shaves with the personna blades. I can't recommend DE Safety razors enough.



The price of the pine tar soap I've been using for over a decade went up to almost 5 bucks a bar. I was using a bar of soap a week. I found Stirling Soap Company. They make tallow based bath and shaving soaps. The bath soap sells for 3.75 a bar. The soap is outstanding. The scents aren't strong but I like that. I started using Stirling Soap with a shower pouf(one dollar at walmart) and I'm using a bar of soap a month taking daily showers. It costs me about 5 bucks a month to shower now and I feel way cleaner than ever before.
