Ive not heard that but I have read several places that Dahmer had clips from 'Star Wars' and Blatty's 'Exorcist' sequal queued up on his vcr which he had prospective victims watch as a sort if foreplay to the mayhem to follow. Apparently he found the depictions of evil in these films compelling. This is understandable because his religius background (Christians have a peculiarly cornball conception of Evil), but I couldn't help but feel disappointed that his taste in cinema wasnt better. In a perfect world I see him responding to the Satanic majesty if the Herzog/Kibski collaborations or maybe the bleak melancholy of Bergman ir Tarkovsky.
