We're talking Baylor here. Fairly certain the only NCAA Division One school that had to fire their basketball coach because he helped cover up a murder.

Schools like Notre Dame, Georgetown, BYU, etc. are operated by a single religious order (CHC, Jesuits, Mormons). Baylor basically calls itself a university that has a strong Christian (Baptist) heritage, whatever that means. I think every student at BYU signs some type of morals clause. I know they don't at Georgetown or ND, but the expectations are much higher than, say, The Ohio Shitty University.

The only time I was at Baylor was in high school. The men's and women's dorms are on opposite sides of the campus, separated by a giant moat. There used to be a real brown bear that lived in the moat. Unfortunately, the students threw so many cans of beer and Dr. Pepper over the fence to the bear, it was later diagnosed as alcohol dependent and diabetic. Dr. Pepper at the time was still made in Waco.

People are assuming she is on scholarship. Many D1 programs have walk-ons and others that are non scholarship. Mostly guys you never heard of like JJ Watt or Clay Matthews or Jordy Nelson. A distance runner who finished 8th in her states and never finished in the top 20 at an NCAA meet is either not on scholarship or not long for one. The fact is that not everyone on a revenue generating sports on scholarship and on non revenue generating programs like Women's Track or Mens Gymnastics scholarships are in very short supply.

I'll put her on a scholarship, but she's got some practicing to do.
