How does tatty make it here being so reasonable? Pretty much how I feel.

On a deeper level, I love the idea of God and Salvation. The whole package...the washing away of sin, the everlasting life, the seeing your lost friends and family in a better place someday. I'm talking, of course, about the Jewish/ Christian God. Invented by savages, perfected by Western Europeans, like most good things in life. But, for me at least, that pesky disbelief gets in the way.

Would it be the coolest thing ever to take your last breath and in the next instant be face to face with a kind God? Fuck yes it would be. Best surprise party ever.

I hope I'm wrong, God- wise. Like tatty said, I'd like there to be "something after" after all this. But I don't believe there is. That's me and I'm certainly not vain enough to think not believing is the way to go or for everyone.

If I'm wrong about Heaven I certainly hope the series dogs and cats that have made my life bearable will be there.
