If I were a billionaire instead of just barely a millionaire I might think differently about that. Realistically, though, I don't live in a place where driving is a pleasure at all. In the near future, I think self-driving cars are going to kill the market for private car ownership. With an app in your pocket you'll be able to summon a car to come pick you up, drop you off, and drive away. And when you need another ride, same deal. No sunk cost in that, no fees for parking (which is a real bitch out here in Asia).
