Because it's neither obvious nor true, Steez. Hell, no less a paragon of Capitalism than Henry Ford proved that if you want to have a consumer-based economy, you have to pay your drones enough to afford the product. Bigger societal picture: The uber-rich have nothing to lose and everything to keep by making it just a little easier for the rest of us. But they won't and history's about to repeat itself.
