I had a friend who was a general contractor. He used to underbid jobs on the mainline if the homeowner would agree to let him keep materials from the demolition. Alot of times he even charged them to dispose of it. He'd tear down old carriage houses, guest houses, barns and garages and keep the old wood timber then mill it and sell it at a premium on other jobs for wood flooring or paneling. He made some big money doing that.
