Northern Idaho was one of the original battlegrounds of the homeschooling movement. I remember lots of articles about parents living off the grid with kids named Malachi (my favorite name ever) and Moses. But it's come a long way. Ours is considered a "home school" and very much a part of the school district...which I'm not in love with, but such is life.
