History will show, multiple unfunded wars bankrupted America. George W. will easily be remembered as the worst.
If history shows that, it's because our academy is full of fucking liars who will advance any untruth in the service of socialism. Multiple, unfunded wars bankrupted America? Give us a fucking break. Total Federal spending was about
US$39 trillion from 2002-2014, while the total expenditure on Iraq and Afghanistan to date — TWELVE YEARS of war in two theaters of operations — come to about US$1.4 trillion. That's 4% (FOUR PERCENT) of total Federal spending over that period. During the same period, the federal budget has been as much as 42% out of balance.
From 2002 to 2014 the Federal government's annual spending deficits added US$12 trillion to the accumulated national debt. The amazing Barack Obama has added US$7 trillion of it, and that is a figure achieved by the dubious choice to assign the bailouts and "Stimulus" to George Bush in 2008, while in actual fact almost immediately after the 2008 election (and before the formal legal assumption of office) the Democrats and Obama took over a lot of the spending decisions. The outgoing Congress and White House gave them everything they asked for after Nov. 4. Remember President-elect Dipshit and his pretend seal of the pretend "Office of the President-Elect"?
Our goose is cooked, all right, but it certainly ain't because of "unfunded wars" and the United States Army. It's because of the spending on the Free Shit Army. Where the Federal government borrows a trillion and a half bucks a year, it's absurd to say that US$150 billion being spent fighting in Afghanistan is the proximate cause of insolvency, and to ignore that the other US$1.35 trillion is being borrowed to fund the Mike Browns of this world.
