War Machine may escape the dreaded "domestic violence" charge on the basis that he and Christy Mack had broken up in May. I read the Nevada statute (this was in Las Vegas, right) and it appears that although "battery domestic violence" covers former spouses, for unmarried cohabitants a current relationship is required. I wonder if a prosecutor might argue a common-law marriage existed prior to May.
