i haven't listened to stern that much since high school, which was the OJ era and his obsession with ruining kathy lee-gifford. he started out at night around here, which was perfect for 15-year olds avoiding study hall/homework. i hold him responsible for two years of intellectual entropy, but he was pretty funny in a post-beavis way. he switched to mornings and i never had time to listen to him for more than a few minutes at a time, but i'll always respect howard for being able to fill that much time for that many years and picking and keeping the core people who make the show and logically should have bolted for their own hosting gigs years ago.
