Say what you will about Kurt Lockwood, I give anyone credit for getting up and trying stand-up. That takes A LOT of balls (no pun intended). Also, if that was his first time you can't expect anything to be polished. All the best comedians work on stuff months before you'll ever see them in a special or on one of the late night talk shows. Also, for most of them it took them years to really understand what will work and what won't.
Whether you like the guy or not-- you have to respect the guts to put yourself out there like that.
